Summary of the presentation

In this lecture, several clinical situations for esthetic restorative treatment in anterior and posterior teeth will be addressed step by step, especially the new restorative techniques and possibilities offered by new materials. There will be emphasis on the use of nanoparticle composites in esthetic and functional treatments for situations such as:

  • Reconstruction of fractured anterior teeth;
  • Diastema closure; -Class III Restorations;
  • Posterior teeth restorations;
  • Etc.

Regarding restorations with composites, some key steps in the reestablishment of esthetics will be discussed, such as color selection techniques and reproduction of the chromatic effects of natural teeth.

In addition to composite restorations, the use of new ceramic systems and its possibilities will be demonstrated with emphasis on a minimally invasive restorative philosophy for the reestablishment of esthetics and functionality of natural teeth.
