Conference summary

Life is made up of choices, and for each of them there are one or more consequences.

Paediatric Dentistry, being the specialty that promotes preventive care from the newborn stage, following its development, until adulthood, is largely responsible for the oral health of the population.

The infantile organism is in an increasing evolution, going through moments when small interventions can bring great future results in the promotion of oral and general health.

Malocclusions, morphological deviations of a biophysical nature of the masticatory system, due to their high prevalence, are considered a public health problem, however, when observed early and properly identified, they can be minimized or even cancelled through preventive or interceptive actions .

It is important, in early childhood, to be attentive, observe and identify the different possibilities of changes in development, be it face, arches, breathing, posture, speech, so that preventive actions can be performed and provide a normal development and growth, essential for physical and psychological well-being.
