Conference summary

Leukocyte – Platelet Rich Fibrin (L-PRF) is a biological surgical additive that is prepared by autologous blood manipulation. It has become one of the most popular platelet concentrates in various fields of medicine in recent years because of its advantages, such as being 100% autologous, easily obtainable, reduced time and cost of the procedure and the release of growth factors and bioactive molecules stored in intracellular granules and released after platelet and leukocyte activation. The ability to concentrate the two types of cells found in L-PRF has shown pronounced benefits in the oral cavity, and over the years, several studies have focused on its use in multiple applications in regenerative treatments.

The purpose of this presentation is to demonstrate the potential of using L-PRF in endodontic therapy by analyzing contemporary evidence-based literature as well as clinical cases with valuable and sustained follow-ups.
