Conference summary

Due to the usual working positions of the dental assistant with the dentist, the dental assistant profession presents some ergonomic risks that origin physical discomfort and muscle-skeletal injuries.

This lecture will summarise and systematise the actions that put the professional at risk for ergonomic injuries and the strategies to adopt during practice to reduce the associated risk. The lecture will also address compensatory activities to do outside the working environment.
