Conference summary

Implant placement on the aesthetic zona requires careful reverse planning in order to meet several biological, aesthetic and functional parameters. Very often we face aesthetic complications on these implants due to dehiscences/deficiencies more or less severe on the surrounding soft tissues. In other cases there is also bone loss and peri-implantitis scenario that might put implant survival at risk.
Treatment of these cases implies a correct diagnosis at first to determine if there is an infectious pathology or not. When infection is absent it is possible to consider its regenerative potential and an adequate surgical technique so that we can determine if the implant might be maintained reconstructing soft tissues with perio-plastic procedures or if the implant has to be removed so that with a new implant we can achieve a more adequate aesthetic result.
