Conference summary

Endodontic treatment imposes a series of procedures, during which some accidents or
complications may occur, requiring professional training and decision regarding the conduct to
be followed so that the treatment can be carried out to a successful conclusion. Currently,
with the evolution of technical and scientific knowledge, improvement of instruments and
equipment and, above all, professional improvement, the incidence of accidents has
decreased considerably.
However, among such inconveniences, root perforation still stands out and this lecture aims to
list prevention resources and treatment approaches that can result in a favorable prognosis.
