Conference summary

Orthodontic treatment goals are defined as: facial esthetics, dental esthetics, periodontal health, functional occlusion, good airway volume and stability. However, based on the current literature it is clear that the long term success rate of orthodontic treatment is way bellow the expected. Therefore, the goal of treatment stability is compromised.
This presentation will explore stability criteria, functional and occlusal, usually neglected that can contribute to improve the results of orthodontic treatment and its stability.
