Conference summary
The occurrence of emergencies in the context of dental medicine are uncommon situations but can have a great impact on the patient. Prevention, early diagnosis and effective treatment are essential for the favorable evolution of these situations. Therefore, it is important to know how to act accordingly and to use effectively all the emergency devices existing in the clinics and dental offices, as legislated in DL nº 233/2001, 25/08.
This workshop will address the following topics:
– Syncope and cardiac arrest (request for help, basic life support, etc);
– Anaphylactic reactions;
– Anxiety crisis;
– Acute coronary syndrome;
– Epilepsy.
