Conference summary
Post-extraction ridge resorption represents a challenge for the clinician. It may lead to esthetic problems and more complex implant installation due to dimensional alterations of the ridge.
Thus, the concept of preventing bone loss following tooth extraction or augmenting the hard and soft tissues are very attractive. The current presentation will describe a series of studies regarding ridge preservation and augmentation of the alveolar process following tooth extraction.
Clinical cases that illustrate the surgical technique and outcome of ridge preservation and hard and soft tissue augmentation will be presented and discussed.
