Rehabilitation of partial edentulous patients with dental implants is nowadays a treatment that presents high rates of success and predictability.
It allows us to solve the majority of esthetic and functional problems that we face in daily routine. Partial edentulous patients can be divided in 2 big groups – Anterior and Posterior Sector, each one with its specificities and demands.
Normally we associate esthetics to anterior sector and function to posterior although they are intimate interconnected and the prognosis of one influences the other.
Relatively to posterior sector we have several alternatives of rehabilitation: implant fix prosthesis; tooth – implant fix prosthesis and tooth – implant – removable partial denture.
Are all viable options? Which advantages in rehabilitation? Is there evidence?
