Summary of the presentation

Endodontics plays an important role in preserving the natural dentition. The restoration of a endodontically treated tooth is a procedure in which the dentist must gather knowledge from many areas of dentistry in order to make the right choice of restoration without compromising the endodontic treatment and survival of the tooth.

It is very important to make an assessment of the remaining tooth structure, it is a determining factor in retention and susceptibility to fracture. Another important decision is whether or not to put post and what type to choose.

Many more issues will be addressed in this presentation oriented with an ever-present thought: endodontic treatment only ends when we return integrity to the tooth.
