Summary of the presentation

Class III malocclusion, although the least prevalent problem in the portuguese population, is usually under a strong genetic influence.

Early diagnosis of Class III malocclusions is therefore extremely important, in order to soon intercede on the majority of these cases.

For each Class III, the contribution of the teeth, the maxilla and the mandible to the problem should be carefully assessed.

This presentation will be focused on the diagnosis and early treatment of different types of Class III malocclusions, with various orthodontic appliances.
