The new dental caries diagnosis concepts, lead towards nonsurgical dentistry treatment in early-diagnosed caries lesion with remineralization procedures rather than restorations.
However, the concept of “remineralization therapy” can only be considered when the balance of oral environment is restored and the etiological factors are controlled.
In this process, assessment of caries risk of the individual patient is an important prerequisite for an appropriate and successful management strategy.
The aim is to discuss current remineralization strategies that can be used in the management of demineralization lesions according to the caries risk of the patient.
