Conference summary
This conference will provide a critical analysis of why subperiosteal implants fail to achieve predictable long-term outcomes.
The biological and mechanical mechanisms will be examined, from the moment of placement to the implant’s performance over the years, with a focus on the cascade of reactions that often lead to failure.
A key question will also be addressed: what is required for customized solutions to truly succeed? In this regard, the principles of osseointegration will be highlighted as the essential foundation for successful rehabilitation with titanium implants.
The conference will also feature clinical case discussions involving complex situations, such as atrophic jaws, oncological patients, and reconstructive procedures, showcasing both the current possibilities and the challenges in this field.
