Conference summary

Emergencies in endodontics
14:30 – 16:00

Dental emergencies can occur unexpectedly, causing significant pain, distress, and potential long-term damage if not promptly addressed. This lecture aims to equip dental professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage a variety of dental emergencies.

We will explore common scenarios such as traumatic dental injuries, endodontic-related pulpitis, and dental abscesses, providing a comprehensive overview of immediate interventions and follow-up care.

Emphasis will be placed on the importance of timely diagnosis, pain management, and the prevention of complications.

Contemporary endodontics in the era of implants: what’s the evidence?
17:30 – 19:00

Up-to-date studies comparing endodontic treatment versus implant-supported prosthesis have shown similar clinical outcome and survival rates.

However, no data are available comparing both treatment modalities based on the patient’s perception of quality of life.

This presentation will discuss high evidence-based literature and case selection on long-term outcome and quality of life of patients with restored, single endodontically treated teeth versus patients with single implant-supported fixed prostheses.
