Conference summary
Rehabilitation with dental implants in the posterior maxillary region often presents significant challenges, primarily due to local anatomical constraints.
Severe pneumatization of the maxillary sinus and resorption of the alveolar crest are common factors that result in a reduction in available bone height and/or thickness. Furthermore, this area typically has lower bone density and is subject to high occlusal loads.
Given these limitations, conventional surgical approaches may not be sufficient, often requiring complementary techniques such as sinus lifts and bone grafts.
This hands-on course will focus on the fundamentals and techniques of sinus lifts, with particular emphasis on the application of protocols that allow for simultaneous implant placement and maxillary sinus filling.
Participants will have the opportunity to handle specific instruments and apply materials dedicated to this type of procedure in a clinical practice-oriented environment.
