Conference summary
This session aims to promote a comprehensive reflection on the diversity and complementarity of the different actors that make up the oral health system in Portugal.
Through a critical analysis of the three sectors — public, private, and social — their specificities, structural challenges, and opportunities for sustainable development will be debated.
The session will also seek to identify paths for a more effective articulation between the sectors, fostering synergies that enhance the accessibility, equity, and quality of the care provided.
This debate aims to contribute to an integrated vision of dentistry, centered on intersectoral collaboration and the construction of innovative solutions that respond to the real needs of the population.
