Conference summary
Since its introduction by Dahlin in 1988, guided bone regeneration (GBR) of edentulous ridges has quickly become an essential technique for clinicians in resolving cases in which edentulous bone ridges are not sufficient for implant placement and stability.
Therefore, several innovations have been introduced in recent decades, from biomaterials and specific devices for GBR to variations in the technique or flap designs, always with the aim of increasing the visibility of both immediate surgical success and its long-term maintenance.
This conference aims to raise awareness of the contribution that digital planning and the creation of auxiliary GBR devices designed specifically for each case can provide to clinicians.
