The presentation will focus on the relationship between dentists and their patients, emphasizing the processing of personal data required for the study, diagnosis, and provision of healthcare, while highlighting the legal protection of fundamental rights and applicable regulations such as the GDPR and specific health sector norms.
Additionally, it will explore the implications of the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence systems in dentistry, particularly in the diagnosis and treatment of oral conditions, emphasizing compliance challenges with the GDPR and the new European AI regulation (AI Act), in effect since August 2024.
