Conference summary
Every oral surgery should be planned and executed with the goal of treating the pathology causing the least trauma to the tissues.
Technological advances in the diagnosis devices allow for the surgeon to diagnose, plan and guide during the procedure reducing time and better the prognosis. The use of microsurgical instruments, magnification, the knowledge of the biology, anatomy of the issues their delicate manipulation and suture prevent aesthetic impairment and scar tissue formation.
Oral surgery should be performed using the same principles applied and proved in Periodontal and Peri implant plastic surgery.
New strategies will be discussed in how to combine advanced surgical techniques for soft tissue manipulation in every day oral surgery, introducing the concept of Aesthetic Oral Surgery.
