Conference summary
Rehabilitation with implants in the posterior sectors of the maxilla often presents a challenge, primarily due to anatomical limitations we encounter. Excessive pneumatization of the maxillary sinus or deformation of the alveolar ridge are some of the factors that result in reduced bone thickness and/or height.
Additionally, these are typically areas with lower bone quality and where the occlusal load is more significant. Therefore, unconventional rehabilitation techniques are often necessary, requiring additional surgeries such as sinus lift or bone grafts
In this hands-on course, special emphasis will be placed on the principles and techniques of sinus lift, and participants will practice protocols for implant placement simultaneously with sinus lift and filling, using specific instruments and materials for these techniques.
