Conference summary
The orthodontic speciality knows that a well-treated orthodontic case can be misinterpreted and poorly received by the patient.
This happens above all when the main complaint that motivated the patient to have treatment is not respected, or when the expectations created before treatment exceed the perception of the result.
There are various ways of getting round this problem, which should be the subject of protocols to be applied systematically in the orthodontic clinic. These procedures and protocols will be discussed and exemplified with treated cases.
