Conference summary

Currently, the study of the maxillary sinus is fundamental and indispensable for the dentist.

Events such as the improvement in the quality of the radiological images produced by the CBCT, the increase in the incidence of odontogenic sinusitis and sinus lift surgery meant that the Dentist had the obligation to correctly diagnose and treat the entities that found in the oral cavity – sinus cavity transition.

During the course, current and elementary concepts in medicine and oral surgery will be clarified for the correct treatment of the maxillary sinus by the dentist. As well as clarified the doctor-dentist/otorhinolaryngologist relationship in this pathology.

Hands-on will allow the acquisition of fundamental medical-surgical skills in maxillary sinus pathology in the presence or absence of oroantral communication.
