Conference summary
Cross-infection in oral surgery is a subject that generates some controversy.
It is up to the oral surgery team, dentist, surgical assistant and circulator to have the knowledge of good practice rules so that with the use of surgical fields, prepared for this purpose, they can rigorously fulfill all the stages of manipulation of the various components involved in the procedure, namely instruments, material and all other surfaces that may be involved in the surgical environment.
The aim of this conference is to inform the oral surgery team of the asepsis protocol to be applied in order to control cross-infection.
