Conference summary
The physiotherapist is one of the elements of the multidisciplinary team involved in OSAS. The objectives of its intervention include educating/teaching/counseling patients with OSAS, defining programs for strengthening and promoting exercise/physical activity, adapting patients to the mandibular advancement device and CPAP, and outlining strategies to prevent the abandonment of therapy. The multidisciplinary team allows for an individualized and patient-centered approach, and the physiotherapist’s intervention contributes to the effectiveness of the obtained results.
