Conference summary

The advertising exposure of patients may constitute a violation of the code of ethics, which determines that “the direct or indirect identification of patients or any allusion to their characteristics are prohibited”.

After the publication of the Manual of Good Practices in Advertising by the PDA, the CDD comes to this specific conference to address the theme of this type of advertising carried out through various vehicles, namely social networks, of photos of patients with the exposure of their clinical situations, before and after the treatments performed, or even using personalities well known to the general public, as promoters of a clinic, and framing it in the ethical-deontological rights and duties of dentists and oral health in general.
