Upgrading our implant practice with guided surgery – A new implantology

  • 1999 – 2005: Graduate Studies in Dentistry (DDS) in the University of Athens, Greece.
  • 2005 – 2006: One-year military service in the Department of Oral Surgery of the Hellenic Navy.
  • 2008 – 2010: Postgraduate Studies in Oral Implantology in New York University, New York, USA (Specialty Training in Surgical and Prosthetic Implant Dentistry in the Department of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry – Chair: Dr. Dennis Tarnow).
  • 2008 – 2010: Academic and Clinical Training on Periodontal and Periimplant Microsurgery in New York University.
  • 2010: Postgraduate Research Award of New York University for the postgraduate research on the clinical significance of the periimplant soft tissue.
  • 2010: Fellow and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).
  • 2013: 1st Clinical Case Award (1st Place) – Bego Implant Systems.
  • 2012 – Present: International lecturer on Advanced Oral Implantology and Oral Microsurgery. His lectures are known for being creative, inspirational and highly educative, and numerous dentists from around the world have benefited from his pioneer courses and trainings on Immediate Implant Placement and Loading, on the application of cutting edge surgical techniques, as well as on Soft Tissue Grafting.
  • 2016 – Present: Official Administrator and Director of education in the SDA Study Club by NYU, one of the most successful study clubs in Greece focused on Aesthetic Dentistry and Implantology.
  • 2017: Expert Member of Academia Implantology of Bego Implant Systems.
  • 2010 – Present: Private Practice limited to Implant Surgical Reconstruction and Soft Tissue Grafting. Member of the dental team of “Barbetseas Dental Clinic’’.

Hands-on Seminar
The participants will execute an implant surgery on a special 3D printed model of a one
complex full-arch case that was presented during the lecture, following all the surgical steps needed to complete the surgery, while familiarizing themselves with the presented workflow and the Guided Surgery system of BEGO Implant Systems.
