The Portuguese Dental Association will present, during its XVII congress, a new publication named “Magazine of the Portuguese Dental Association”.
The opening edition of the Magazine of the Portuguese Dental Association – number 0 - will be distributed to everyone who is registered in the XVII congress of the PDA, and its official launch is scheduled to take place during the celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the PDA.
This trimestral publication, with a circulation of 7.500 units, will be distributed to all 6 thousand dentists and other entities, such as universities, public institutions and business partners.
Guided by standards of excellence regarding editorial quality, the Magazine will be divided in two sections:
1) The Main Section of the Magazine, with 40 pages, will be directed at the institutional information of the Association and the social and professional activity of its members. It will also approach subjects related to oral health, medical science and industry;
2) The Scientific Section, with 24 pages, coordinated by fellow dentist Dr. Pedro Leitão, who is entirely dedicated to the publication of articles and scientific information, with a thoughtful and contemporary presentation.
At a time when the PDA celebrates its 10th anniversary, when there are innumerous colleagues wanting to raise their level of technical and scientific knowledge, and when the population demands higher quality care, it seems fundamental to reflect upon theoretical, clinical, scientific and organizational aspects, etc., and that this reflection leads to something creative, that is, written data that can be published.
The Scientific Section of the Magazine of the Portuguese Dental Association is the forum of excellence for the publication of these papers.
We are counting on the commitment of everyone to make this new publication a privileged space for professional divulgation and for scientific production of Dentistry in Portugal.
