 14. Chapter IV - Section V - Sanctions
 

Article 92

Disciplinary Sanctions

1 - Disciplinary sanctions are as follows:

a) warning;

b) reprimand;

c) suspension;

d) expulsion.

2 - Suspension shall not exceed a period of five years.

Article 93

Criteria for the Application of Sanctions

1 - The application of sanctions shall take into consideration the defendant¿s professional and disciplinary records, his or her degree of responsibility, the consequences of the offence and any other aggravating or mitigating circumstances.

2 - Expulsion shall only be applied in case of a disciplinary offence greatly affecting the dignity or the reputation of the profession, and must be approved by unanimous vote.

Article 94

Publication of Sanctions

1 - Suspension and expulsion shall be publicly announced.

2 - Publication of all the other sanctions shall be left to the discretion of the judges.

3 - Sanctions shall be announced on the OMD¿s publications, including the identity of the sanctioned dentist, his or her business address, the sanction applied and the norms infringed upon.
